On a MX-900, what is the simple way of replacing an old TV with a new one? Surely I don't have to reprogram everything?
Thx

If its a different brand, you will have to reprogram all your macros that include the TV ON, TV OFF and Input as well as change your punch through for volume assuming you are not using an AVR. If you are using the TV for anything else, then you will have to change programming most likely for those activities as well. If is the same brand, you MIGHT be ok as is, but no way to tell really until you set it up and try it.

If using CCP you can use the IR database navigator and manually replace the commands so you don't have to redo the macros.

it really depends on if the macros were made by aliasing the codes in the actual TV device.  if he just dragged raw codes into the macros, then he will have to redo each one of them.

otherwise what Bob said is true, just leave each button in the TV device and drag the new code onto it, then delete the old code.

it would be nice if URC had an automatic code swap feature like Nevo did and I believe RTI does.

Thanks folks.... coded it myself a few years ago, but forgot it all. Replacing IR codes should do it.
