I am having problems with an mx-880 remote. It has been working fine for approx 5 years. When I turn it on it starts just randomly sending commands and none of the functions are working correctly. I am also unable to get into system menu to reset. I have tried new battery, reprogramming several times with various different setups and nothing seems to help. I would appreciate it if anyone has any advice on what to else to try or does it sound like it just went bad. Thank you

IR or using base station?

No chance a spill has given you a sticky button, staying depressed?
There is no truth anymore. Only assertions. The internet world has no interest in truth, only vindication for preconceived assumptions.

No spills or any changes just started acting like this for no reason. It does it both with RF and IR. Unplugged MRF350 and remote still does same thing.

Are there any other ways to get into the system menu or restoring to factory other than pressing and holding down the Watch and Enter buttons?

It turns out it was a key that was stuck and I just missed it. Working good again. Thanks for the help
