MC-70VC camera showing the picture in KP-4000

With this setup i can do there is no recording possible. Only see LIVE video from the camera in the KP-4000 when i click on the camera button.

To increase security is it possible to record the video?

I assume you need to connect it to some recording device which takes input from the camera and gives output back to the network. Any ideas?

I'll answer this basic question since it is not TC. The URC cameras are IP cameras like many others on the market. Any IP recording device like an NVR or various software for computers can record their stream. Recording is not done on any of the remotes but the remotes can control NVRs to view recordings as well as view the live feed.

Bumping the thread.

I saw some URC cameras in eBay which are selling for good price. I like the quality of URC products and would prefer buying them over any generic ip cameras and not worry spending a bit more.

Since URC cameras are nothing but generic IP cameras, can i use them with synology network hard drives to record video? When I go to synology i dont see URC as a brand i can select. want to make sure before i buy them.

this is without using any URC products or remotes. like a separate installation by itself.

So you won't mind paying for URC over generic even though URC is generic???

Do the camera's come with the recording software? Are you sure you don't need a dedicated NVR to record to HD?

Ha ha. I meant I like the quality of URC products.

I want to know if I can use my Synology Network Hard Drive as the NVR. There is an app called "Surveillance Station" in Synology which records video from different cameras.

But when i look for Brand "URC" to add cameras in "Synology", there is no URC available. So wanted to know if anyone has done this before.
