I was able to finish this small job using custom programming, but wondering if I can achieve it using just the "Accelerate" button. And wanted to know if this is the right way to do it.

Living Room:
1) Samsung TV
2) Onkyo AVR with 2 HDMI outputs
3) DirecTV
4) Benq Projector

Client needs two buttons: "Watch TV" and "TV on Projector"
Watch TV: Turn on the TV, Turn on AVR, Turn on DirecTV
Watch TV on Projector: Turn on the Projector, Turn On AVR, Turn on DirecTv

Here are issues I face:

1) After "Accelerate" i see button called "Direct TV". It works fine. Turns on the tv, avr and "Directv". But i want to name it "Watch TV" and also have a "Direc TV".
To acheive this I added one more empty device and have done custom programming.
Is this how it is supposed to work?

2) No success to automatically generate a macro with turning on the projector and directv and tv. Had to custom program it.
Any ideas what I might have done wrong.

I am trying to build this simple scenario so I can accelerate my complex jobs in future and less manual programming.

This is a CCP forum. Most pros that know Total Control don't hang out here.

If you repost this in URC's control room I would be more than happy to help you with this ( as would everyone on the forum). There are a few ways to do this and they are very easy and fast to do. I just did a search and there are multiple examples of what you want to do.

I just realized by tinsnow's other posts that he most likely isn't a TC dealer. For potential clients googling Total Control and finding themselves here, please confirm with URC that the company you are dealing with is authorized to sell, install and service there product. If not, there will be no warrenty or support.

Bingo!

The last thing potential customers need is to run into tinsnow type of idiot playing with the product. Hopefully they realize what a true professional is all about.
