I've only used it with MRX base stations, RJ45 connected through the network.
Has anyone successfully used it as an IR only emitting controller? How did you set it up?
Would be doing an ON sequence at 6AM and an off at 10PM.

I have used the kp 4000 (2 at the same car dealership, showroom and customer lounge areas) with a MRF-350 and an MSC-4000. It was a few years ago. But from what I remember we used the power supply's that came with the Niles IR kits to power them. Then we took the ir output of the 4000 into the MSC and MRF units. I then used an Ethernet cable from my computer to the 4000 to download the programming. At the time URC tech support told me it would not work but I decided to try anyways. Still have no problems with the setup. Hope this helps.

I was told the KP-4000 supported up to 4 IR outs on the back phoenix connector, or connect a RFTX-1 to talk to a MRF base.

Would I be safe in using as IR only with timed events as mentioned above, or am I signing up for a future of trouble calls?
