I have a MX-980. Bought a new TV and went from a Sony to a Samsung.

In CCP I replaced the old TV codes with the IR Database and saved.

Everything works fine and all functions on the TV work great. If I create a button on another device referencing the TV on and Off buttons, those work fine too. For example:

ALIAS [TV Only/power on]

however I have a macro to turn on my preamp to internet radio and turn the TV on too and it won't turn the TV on even though it is referencing the same location as above. I can not figure this out. The just recorded my steps in the Macro window. Currently it says:

ALIAS [TV Only/power on]
DELAY [1.0 seconds]
ALIAS [Preamp/power on]
DELAY [1.0 seconds]
ALIAS [Preamp/Page1/Net Audio]
DELAY [1.0 seconds]
ALIAS [TV only/Page1/HDMI1]

TV is running off MRF-350 on port #5 and the Preamp is on port#1

I have the same macro with a media streamer and the TV will not come on, but it works when I do it through the actual TV device.

What am I doing wrong?

Figured it out. Those keys were set to "punch through" so the punch through takes priority over running the macro. The macro doesnt run if it is set to punch through
