I am having a problem with WOL from my iPad running the IOS software. I am using the same setting I used in my MX-5000, which works perfectly. I set the IP to 255.255.255.255 and the port to 9. I issue the Magic Packet command exactly the same as the MX-5000. All other IP commands work from the iPad. Anyone know if there is something special I need to set to get this to work?

Are you sure your IP address is correct? Looks more like the Subnet Mask.

Thanks for the suggestion, sorry it didn't work. I also tried port 9, which is what I use in the MX-5000. What's strange is that all my IP commands work from the iPad, only the WOL fails. I'm wondering if there is a setting I am missing.

I have tried several, they all work as expected. For some reason the WOL command from my iPad, and my iPhone, are failing even though other IP commands all work. BTW my iPad is the latest model, the Air 2.

Update... I finally got it to work. Strangely I had to set the IP address of the device in the IOS iPad app to the IP address of the PC I was trying to wake. I don't understand why, but it worked.
False alarm, it now does not work. I have no idea what is wrong here, it worked several times then suddenly stopped working and now I can't get it to work any more.
