Here's a couple of possibilities:

1. Which Pioneer receiver do you have? I just got an SC-85 but have to use the remote codes for the SC-75 as those for the SC-85 aren't yet available. I couldn't find codes for the up, down, left and right keys which work in the tuner mode (used for labeling stations). In the past I had to learn codes like this. This time I discovered existing codes, specifically, the preset +, preset-, tune + and tune- served dual purposes as they act as up, down, left and right when the tuner is in the tuner edit mode. You may find existing codes in the CCP database, in the network section for your receiver, which do the same thing.
2.Alternatively, after you've learned the codes, check how many times each code is being sent (double click on it in the macro window). If they're only being sent once, that could be the problem. Increase the number of repeats to the standard three. If it's already three, try increasing it more. I have some wooden shutters which would never function with learned codes until I increased the repeats to about twenty (currently set to thirty).

Good luck,

Bob

I have the Pioneer SC77. Ive selected it in CCP's db and the net functions wont respond even if I make the remote learn the IR codes. If I select the "home menu" on the URC remote, it will allow me to use the directional keys normally to scroll through the calibration options or anything that has to do with MCACC. But as soon I select "net" to listen to internet radio, all it does is change inputs but wont navigate through the list of internet stations, countries or anything that has to do with Net functions. I had no problems using these functions 2 months ago. Everything worked fine until my URC mx5000 started giving me problems. Since then, the remote got replaced and I still have the same issue. It will not emit signal for net navigation. All this is strange to me because this problem was nonexistent 2 months ago.

I was able to isolate the problem. When my receiver is RF controlled, the commands are not executed even if the IR emitters do light up when signal is sent and received. I created a "directional key" page that I jump to when I use the net functions. It works only if Im in direct line of sight sending IR signals to my device instead of RF.
I know now the problem seems to be lodged somewhere in my RMF 350. Not sure what

You should never have your device sending IR/RF at the same time. I can't understand how URC didn't root that out of being an option when they upgraded the stand alones to CCP. For each device in your system, you should choose one type of signal or the other, not both. That is guaranteed to be a problem.

While the IR signal should, in theory, reach the device before the RF translated to IR signal does (through the base station and emitter), the emitter usrually sits directly ontop of the IR receiver of the device. So it can partially block some of the IR only signal from reaching the device, then BAM! ms later, it is blasted with a code through the IR emmiter. Maybe it's circuitry inside starts to recognize part of the IR only code because of whatever surfaced through the emitter, then ignores the IR signal from the emitter that it could receive fully. Or maybe some crazy variation of that. Perhaps your device doesn't go IR blind properly after receiving a command and that second burst confuses it more.

I'm confused just thinking about it. Best practice: ONE type of signal or the other.
