I suspect the answer is yes, but if any ones has any more bright ideas I'd love to hear the.
I have three MX3000, each with a battery and charger, than have not been used for a while, I recently got them out for a charge up, two were fine, one just makes a buzzing sound, but the charging light does come on. I have tried it with each of the batteries and each charger and the result is the same so it is the actual remote.
If I put a fully charged battery into it from another remote, it buzzes, the hard buttons light up blue but the touch screen does not light.
I've tried leaving it over night with out a battery, and also pressed the small metal button neat the battery connector that looks like a reset button with out success.
Thanks for any ideas.

No, it can be recycled. For example, if you have a door that needs propped open it makes an excellent doorstop.
