I am well aware of this fix

[Link: proaudioinc.com]

I have followed it exactly, (using mobile device centre 6.1 as it was all I could find), and tried it on a windows 7 PC (64 bit) and a Vista laptop (32 bit), and in all cases MX950 editor will not communicate with the pc.

Anyone had this and anyone fixed it ?

Thanks

The fix you linked to is for the MX-980, not the 950. The MX-950 requires Microsoft ActiveSync, which was replaced by Mobile Device Center. The MX-980 works with Mobile Device Center.

Thanks, I knew this but had seen a few posts reporting the same fix worked with the MX950 and MX3000, but I can't get it to !

This is the one I had bookmarked for the MX-3000, but it doesn't work with the MX-950: [Link: remotecentral.com]

I never got any of the fixes that work with an MX-3000 to work with an MX-950 so I actually bought a used XP laptop a few years ago that I use with MX-3000s and MX-950s that are still out there.

Thanks Surf remote, although one post in the tread you link to reports sucess with an MX950 (mistyped model number perhaps), I find the same as you, MX3000 works a treat with the fix, the MX950 will not, at least on 32 bit Visat. I shall hold onto an old XP laptop.
