I am going to get a new laptop, and currently have XP. Are the 810, 880, and 900 programs I have able to work with and transfer to Windows 7 or 8.1?

Thanks.

I have used both the MX-900 and 810 editors on Windows 7. Since the MX-880 standalone editor was discontinued some time ago, I'm not sure if it will work with Windows 7. Check the file folder and see if there are Windows Vista USB drivers. If they are there, it will probably work with Win 7.

I have not used the stand alone 880. That is old. All others work In win 7 64.

You're taking you luck with anything in windows 8. You are shooting yourself in the foot with windows 8.1. I don't what Microsoft did that, but it is a hot mess. Internet explorer 11 did enough to break urc already.

The MX-880 and MX-900 work perfectly find with Windows 8/8.1in terms of synching and all else. You should not experience any problems under normal conditions.

I have a MX-980 and I cannot get either of my windows 8 laptops to download to it.  Still works with my Win7 laptop fine.

I may recant my statement about Windows 8.  I got to thinking my whole issue with programming on windows 7 was There was no active sync.  I had to install the windows mobile device center.  This according to Microsoft is compatible with windows 8.  I was able to load it yesterday evening with no issues.  I have some more updating to do on my MX-980 and will be trying my Windows 8.1 laptop and will post back my results.

Ok, I was able to get in and try this this morning.  It seems loading Windows Mobile Device Center is all I needed.  So if you are having issues getting it to sync that is probably all that is needed.
