My trusty MX-980 recently started acting up. The select button will only respond to a very hard press. Is there a way to take apart the remote and fix this myself, or do I need to send it in to URC?

It could just need a cleaning. The upper case is easily removable as it's snapped together. Start at a bottom corner with a small flat blade screwdriver.

Update:
I went to use the remote the next day, and it was suddenly working perfectly again. I'm not aware of anything that changed, so it's a complete mystery to me.
