(I have not looked at a URC remote in a long time)

Customer has an existing programmed MX3000. They got a Comcast (samsung IR) cable box instead of the original Direct TV box.

I will download the original program from the MX3000 into the URC software and replace the Direct TV commands with the Samsung commands. I have not programmed a URC for years! Do I just select the appropriate codeset from the IR database in the program instead of what was there and then save and I am good?

Thanks,

Tim

For the most part that will work. If you are adding any codes to macros or anything else needs to be aliased, you will have to redo those parts most likely.

Just remind me. aliasing is putting a different command on a button?

Essentially, aliasing is "Calling" a command in your macro.
