I've checked for interference (flickering red light on the MRF-260 - I'm generally very cautious using these but this one seems to be fine), I used the record button to build the macros....tried different power codes from the IRDB as well. I found some other commands for power in some of the other RC threads that I plan on trying.

Learn twice is just for learn phillips codes. I'm pretty certain that the Epson uses NEC codes. Did you drag codes from the IRDB into the Macro window, or did you drag them from the IRDB, do your device, and the alias the codes in the macro?
