Anyone know if the URC has an IP module for Yamaha Receivers? I'm trying to control 3 receivers that can only be hooked up to the MRX via the network.

There are several listed in IP database. Which remote will you be using? I think access to IP is only from iOS, Android, and Total Control remotes

Where is this IP database you speak of? In CCP or TC? Here on RC? For this client, I'm, just going to spec an iPad and MRX2. Thanks guys.

Additionally you can try ci.yamahaconnect.com if you are a yamaha dealer or do a simple search for the YNCA protocol.

The rs232 db and protocol is even mor even solid and urc has that for basically the entire RX-V and RX-A lines.

I speak of the one in CCP and it can be utilized for iPad/MRX2 combo. Just remember it requires iOS pairing app card which costs at least $150.

Duct tape: I blocked the MX6000 from my memory so I guess the other two-ways with wifi from that era went with it.

I'm not convinced the mx5000 is that big a step ahead. Maybe it's hard for me to swallow such a price for a remote.

I have two Yamaha AVR's on my network. How does the CCP/iOS on the iPad know which one I want to control via IP?

Thanks for the fast reply. Now where in the CCP/iOS do I indicate which static ip I want to control?

click on the device heading (not a page within the device)   then go to the properties screen.  you enter in the IP address and port info into that screen.

Thanks Mr. Tape. I could not find that info on the Control Room  site or in any of the manuals, I must have missed it.

I don't think you missed it.  It is quite possible that the manuals written for CCP products are just out of date.  There are a bunch of things that I just figured out for myself with CCP.  I should write one of those "CCP for Dummies"  books.  :)
