I'm looking for a remote to replace an old MX-3000. Our biggest complaint was the lack of tactile feedback/can't navigate by feel. The MX-1200 looks great, but we make a lot of use of the "LIST" button on the Directv remote which doesn't have a labeled button on the MX-1200. I really need this on a button given its high use. Any recommendations for which button to use? Can buttons be dual purposed based on the amount of time they're held down? For instance, if the Guide button is pressed and released quickly (<1 sec), then you get LIST, but if you press and hold longer (>1 sec), you get GUIDE?
Thanks.

You can use a basic press and hold variable to accomplish what you want. Ex. IF button pressed for 1 second or less, send code A. Else, send code B (anything longer than 1 second)

Or use the otherwise unused button next to the zero - it is labeled -/. or something like that.

There is no truth anymore. Only assertions. The internet world has no interest in truth, only vindication for preconceived assumptions. |
