I purchased an Audio Authority Bluebeam C-1071A to control a PS3 via a MSC-400. The MSC-400 is triggered by a MX-3000. Because I'm using the MX-3000, I'm limited to using the stand alone MSC-400 editor.

I used the IR codes from the MSC-400 IR Library Aux/Audio Authority/C1071 (n/a). There is no A but that was the closest I found. I also tried the Sony PS3 IR commands in the MSC-400 library. Nothing works.

I have the C1071A set for external ir only (front panel) and the ir is firing. I also have the C1071A set to flash the led in response to ir commands. This is not happening so it appears the C1017A is not understanding the commands.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance.

Thought I would update this post.

I read that updating the firmware and using hex code might do the trick. I assume I have the latest firmware (V2.06) and I tried hex code commands and still no luck.

Anyone?

Thought I would keep all of those keenly interested in this thread up to date.

I've managed to get the unit working with the exception of the discrete power on. I'm using an AC power source so the unit is constantly powered and I also have it connected to the PS3 through the USB port with the discrete auto-on activated in the AA software.

This exact issued came up in the RC CI forum some time back but nobody posted the solution. I'm using the the hex code from the CI thread which appears to be the exact string from the AA web site hex code Excel file.

Thanks once again for the help.

Just an update on my attempts to get this C-1071A working.

The unit does respond to the discrete on code when the PS3 is powered on. The C-1071A LED responds to the command and the PS3 repsonds appropriately to the Power On when its already powered on (battery indicator shows up on screen).

However, the unit is simply dead when the PS3 is off and a the power on command is issued.

Again, I'm using the 12V power supply, batteries and the USB port.

Thanks again.

Well I know everyone has been vigilantly following this thread but after speaking with CS at Audio Authority this morning, the problem was solved.

There is a box in the configuration software "enable discrete power on" which I had checked because I wanted to enable discrete power on.

Apparently, that box needs to be unchecked if you want to use discrete power on.

Thanks for all the help.
