All smarter guys/gals than me....

I am trying to program my AudioControl D3200 (16 ch/ 8 zone) amp using CCP + MRX-1 + iphone/ipad. My house is wired with plenty of Cat 5/6 for using BALUNS to send Audio to the D3200 from local sources too.

The D3200 allows for IP control to select bus 1/bus 2/local and assign that source to any individual zone/all zones/or selected zones.

The crux of my question is what is the best way to program:

Option 1:
Create a page to say "select where to listen" by selecting a picture icon of rooms or an icon that represents a combo of two or more zones. Upon selecting there would be a variable change, like:
Kitchen = TRUE
First Floor = TRUE

This would jump to a page for select source using icons for FM/AM, TV Audio, or Local Input. Then another set of variables to store that selection and a set of execute commands to do what the variables indicate.

PROBLEM with OPTION 1: A lot of variables.

OPTION 2:
Basically, my thought on this would be select the source first using icon selection. Then jump to a set of pages specific to that input - This would mean there would be three sets of identical pages for zone selection specific to bus1/bus2/local.

PROBLEM with option 2: A lot of graphics in backgrounds and icons.

I am experienced with CCP and B&K multizone products, but not audiocontrol.
Does anyone have any ideas on how to best do this or anyone that has done something similar can make some recommendations? Option 1, 2, or my options are trash and there is a better option?
My current CCP file is a work in progress for many functions (lighting, a B&K CT300.3, and some random stuff) and I use it to test out combinations for my house. I could post it - but, currently it is not in a condition that represents my best work.

Thanks in advance.

Ski,

Yes, I do still need help. I put the project on pause for a while and now I am just back into it and I just picked up another Director 3200 - so now I have two. That is what I need to run all the zones in my house.

I have been exploring iRule and OpenRemote. Not sure on either of these although OpenRemote seems to be the better option - just very difficult to program as a beginner. CCP is very easy.

What are your thoughts on programming iOS for this using CCP? Do you have a preference in control solutions? I have never used RTI or Control 4.

Thanks very much!

Tony
