I have owned 3 Prontos (TS-1000, TSU-3000 and the TSU-9400) and the 9400 is starting to die. Battery charge goes down very fast and a small part of the screen is all black. So I'm looking for a replacement.

After looking around the only candidate is URC. Even though the RTI T2x is beautiful from what I understand RTI wont let dealers give the software to end users (AFAIK) while URC leaves it to the dealers to decide.

The only reason I want to buy through a dealer is because of the warranty, but still I want to program it myself. Also I live in Puerto Rico and I see no dealers here. So, what I'm looking for is a URC dealer that would sell me the remote and be ok with also providing the software. Are there any dealers here that can do that? Can anyone point me in the right direction?

PS: I'm a computer programmer and I programmed my 3 prontos, so I can deal with it.

Well found a dealer in the US that would ship, still dont know how much for it. Funny thing though, apparently URC does not honor warranties for products in US territories (which is weird), so buying from a dealer is no different than buying it from ebay.

They said they would honor the warranty themselves but I have to pay for shipping both ways if something happens with the remote. At least that is something.

Which remote did you get?

I got the MX-1200 which is working great. Slowly working on the programming.

I liked the RTI TCx better though (layout seem better, color buttons, IR and WiFi) but no software for DIY users was a big dissapointment. I would had bought the TCx otherwise.

Yeah. There isn't really supposed to be any software for DIY users for CCP either, but I guess that is a different story.
