I'm curious as to why users of the MX 3000 feel it is the best choice for custom tailored remote. I'm happy to buy one from an authorized dealer but am reluctant to support a company whose software/customer support policy seems to me short sighted (just my impression; I'm not looking to debate URC's policy). However, perhaps there is more to the MX 3000 than meets the eye and I would like to hear from folks about that aspect. Especially comparisons to the its competitor remotes. So, why is the MX 3000 a good choice or bad choice if that is your feeling.

Good CI and dealer support (not a dealer, but this remote has never been advertised as a direct sell to the end user)
Probably the best installed IR database I've seen
All in all great remote for the pricepoint

It's layout/feel...so much better than many of the Prontos. Also although you probably won't need one, the MSC-400 is a great add-on.
