Hello all, Happy new year. This is my first post, so be gentle. I have a MSC-400, MX-980, RFX-250, 4 Dimmer light switches. I use 2-RS232 connections, 5-IR ports, with video and voltage sensors, and stand alone programs. I've had this system for over 5 years now. The units work fine. Actually they are awesome. Just need more memory on the remote.
When ALL components are either OFF or ON, the RF-LED light flashes on and off on the RFX-250, what can I do to fix this issue?
Thank you for your time.

Sounds like something is introducing interference into the system. Any components changed recently? Try moving the 250 around and see if you can get the RF light to go out. I've had systems that worked great for years and all of a sudden interference.

Thanx for the great info. Only thing I will do is move around the 250..What are the dials on top of the 400 used for? Are they for sensitivity per port? Could this be part of the issue?

the dials are adjustments for the IR strength of each IR port.  usually you can leave them right in the middle.  they should have no effect on the issue you are having.

the RF light is only supposed to flash when you are pressing buttons on the remote.  if it is flashing without pressing button, then it is picking up RF interference from something.

where is the RFX250 mounted?  is in near any other equipment?  also, what RFID do you have programmed?  make sure it isn't set to zero in the programming.

The RFX250 is about 8' from equipment. Primary # OF and secondary is 01. I have also noticed that the IR flasher lights up when the RFX250 lights up. I will have to check the IR cables for any type of nicks in the cable. I could have a shinner.
THX.
