I have been trying to control my Roku 3 with an MX-5000 over IP. I have found a document showing the commands, but I am unable to get them to work. Does anyone know what the correct format is for these commands in the MX-5000? Note that I have my Yamaha working over IP, so I'm confident that my WiFi is set up correctly.

Not sure of the specific format for URC, but you can test commands from a browser & terminal. Type

http:[IP_OF_ROKU]:8060/query/apps

to see an XML list of installed Roku apps. If you have a terminal program with the ‘curl’ command, you can test the keystroke commands [that’s 2 single quotes after the “-d”):

curl -d ‘’ http:[IP_OF_ROKU]:8060/keypress/home

You probably can’t send the keypress commands from a browser address field because they use an http “POST” command instead of the typical “GET” command that’s used when you request a webpage…. but try http://remoku.tv.

Thanks for the info. I have the list of commands, but they don't work when I put them in the keys on my MX-5000. I've set up the IP address and port in CCC. What I need is to see an actual working command as it is set up for the MX-5000. You're right about testing in my browser, the retrieval of installed apps works but none of the keypresses.
