I added a MRX-1 to my configuration to enable iPad control. All things IR are straight forward. On the Serial front I have two Russound CAV6.6 systems which translates to 6 sources and 12 zones -- it requires control via RS232. Problem is the CCP Serial database only has zones 1-6. How should I approach controlling zones 7-12 on second CAV system?

add in another serial device that contains the codes for zones 1-6, then edit the serial strings to control zones 7-12.

Like the commercial says "Sometimes you feel like a nut"... After reading your suggestion I of course looked and found the serial strings are displayed and can be easily edited. Thanks Duct Tape. Have no clue why I though they could not be edited.

Good day, I am working with a similiar issue - two CAM6.6 units with ios app. Can you confirm the cable connection? I have used a cable from URC [mx850 cable] and then tried a cable from RTI. neither seems to make connection to the CAM system. Russound stated that it may be a "pinout mismatch"? What is the cable that works? Send me options and I think if I can get connectivity I will be able to follow other posts to get the commands to work.

Thanks
