my mx-6000 and msc-400 works fine for IR devices(most via RF). I decided to add a couple of rs-232 devices. I can test serial commands on CCP msc-400 but once I drag the smart marcos to mx-6000 buttons they don't work.

I must be missing something. here is what I do

create device in mx-6000, add pages,
create serial device in msc-400, add serial codes, convert to smartmacros
in mx-6000, go to base station, find msc-400 smartmacros, drag the smart macro onto mx-6000 button.

upload both to mx-6000 and msc-400---> serial commands wont work.

any help is appreciated

Make sure the pages that have triggers are set to rf and not IR.
