I'm pretty adept at CCP, but am having a tough time figuring out how to take a Text button that was setup from the start as a multi-page Persistent button and making that button NOT persistent anymore. I still want the button itself to appear on every page for that device, but I now want to be able to change the text label so that it's slightly different on each page. So, imagine a Device called "CD Player" which originally had just 2 pages of buttons and such - one was a keypad page for instance and the other was for actual buttons. The title at the top center of that was just called "CD Player"...now, I've added 4 pages of buttons for that device and all kinds of nice programming. But as I page through on the remote each page of that device, I want the title bar to say "CD Player 1/4" and then "CD Player 2/4" etc. etc. so that the user knows what page he/she is on.

I'm sure I could do this if I built the page from scratch, but I am leveraging some really nice existing device pages that were part of a package I bought from Blackman Custom Designs. I just need to know how to change the nature of that title bar button to be not persistent across every page. I've tried a bunch of things, and nothing has worked.

Any help is GREATLY appreciated!

You didn't mention what remote you're using but on all the URC remotes I've ever programmed, at the bottom of the page it tells you what page you're on.

I'm using an MX-5000 with MRX-2 base stations. No page number at the bottom (though I did get used to that from my old MX-950 days, which is why I'd like to bring that them back). Thanks!

URC, always moving backwards instead of forward.

If you select the Header underneath the page title on the 5000, you can change it to anything you want. Page 1 of *. Bit of a pain to do it manually but it can be done.

Thanks. I don't have a header bar since I'm using a totally custom template, but your post helped me find it anyway. Basically you can't make a button drop its Persistence, but you can delete persistent buttons and recreated them differently. In case anyone cares, what I ended up doing was removing the 1 large thick persistent button and replacing it with 2 thinner text buttons on top of each other and the center top of most/all pages. And I made the lower of the 2 text buttons be the one set up as "Page" instead of "Normal" text. That way I get the normal text like "Oppo Bluray" up to and directly below is "Page 1 of 4" for instance.

Mission accomplished but man is it non-intuitive. Thanks for the help kgossen!
