I am looking for the standalone mx900 exe file. I keep running into very old remotes. CCP doesn't always import everything properly, particularly when importing the RF base station.

URC tech support is not very forward about linking the file, even though you can steadily update it from remote update. Can anyone email or dropbox the mx900 intall exe? It would help so much with this one remote I can't get to properly upload and the original .mxg is lost.

Thanks for the EULA. What good does it do me?

It's not like I don't have access to the URC dealer portal. Come on. I've been on this site for the better part of a decade.

If you had access to the dealer portal, you would have access to all software there in, and you wouldn't need to ask here.

which is why I am on here asking for it. I've been working with URC (and others) for a very long time. Did you bother to look up my post history first or did you just have to get your post numbers up?

if YOU had access to the URC dealer portal, YOU would know that the stand alone mx900 editor was wiped when they updated their forums a couple months back. Come on, brother. I thought we were all one team here.

If you bothered to read the EULA I posted then you would understand that we can't give it to you.

Piracy by any other name is still piracy. You might consider me on your team, but you're not on mine.

Piracy? Are you kidding me? It's a FREE file. Just about every other FREE programming software is available on this site. Should I go to each of the manufactures websites and fully read the EULA (with my lawyer present) before downloading the file from RC? I'm asking for a file that up until 5 months ago was freely distributed on the internet.

It's not like I am the only person asking for this file. It is all over the AV forums.

Personally I'd like to know what company you work for so that I can avoid it. Custom integrators are supposed to stick together. That's the point of this site.

I'll continue my search elsewhere. Thank you.

Because it's free doesn't mean anything. This site does not host URC editor software. If they did a simple DMCA takedown notice would be complied with and it would be gone.

When in doubt, call URC and ask them to send you the program. I also noticed it wasn't up on the site either, but they still sell them, so why not? Seems odd, since there are so many of them out there.

they want people to use CCP.   the only reason that you would need the mx900 editor, is if you have an older mx900 that won't connect to CCP.

I made it a point to download all of the stand alone editors when I heard they were phasing them out for CCP. You never know when you may need them. Plus you can't open files saved in the stand alones in CCP.

I can't tell you how many 850's I programmed back in the day with my trusty serial port notebook. I miss the good old days of setting baud rates....
