Sadly, my MX-650 hit the floor and now I have to press the buttons as hard as I can for them to work and some buttons aren't functioning at all. I can't find any used ones on ebay, etc. So I'm in a bad situation...

I've got some old mx-600's but I don't think the programming is compatible - or is it?

What options might I have? - I'm on SSN and have a very limited budget so easily found used equipment is OK.

I'm willing to re-program any other device as long as it will have addressable rf, and hopefully use my existing MRF-250's realizing that it will require the use of the same brand I'm using now.

Alternatively, I have an original iPad Mini (wifi only) and would really like to know if anyone knows of some apps + add on hardware that could replace my MX-650 setup?

Thanks in advance for any ideas!!

No the mx-600 is not compatible with the mx-650.

But this NXG is a mx-650 clone:

Do you happen to know of a list of other compatible remotes for the mx-650?

I've seen look-a-likes labled Omega, Orion and now NXG but don't know if they have "mx-650's".

Also, if I wanted to get "more modern" but wanted the same capability as the mx-650 but not necessarily the same programming what would you recommend?

TIA

The omega is the mx-650, an orion is the original name of the mx-850 pc programmable remote. You can move on to pc line of programmable remotes like the mx-700, mx-800, and mx-850. The software for them are here at remote contral.
