I am not a dealer, but I have owned the URC system since 04 . Now that the app is out I would like to understand how one that is not a dealer can be able to take advantage of this system. Also to my understanding the Andoid system can only work on the mrx 1,2 base and nothing else can anyone please confirm this for me. Thanks

you can purchase the license through a dealer. the license is $199.  The license gets tied to an MRX1 or MRX2.  you can add additional MRX1/2s to other rooms and they all share the same license.  You can have as many Android devices as you like.

you are correct, the app will only control the MRX1 or MRX2.

Alternatively, you could wait for the Total Control Android app to be available, then go with a Total Control system instead.  Then you use the MRX10 base station which has better processing power and more connections.

Why are you so aggressive with so many users of the forum? The guy simply asked some questions. Relax man.

WTF?

That's being aggressive?

He asked a question, was given a perfectly clear answer and then proceeds to ask the same question again.

Absolutely it was. He didn't ask the same question but is simply unclear of the line. From his response he clearly is not aware that Total Control is a completely different system and all its products (for the most part) are not compatible with CCP products.

As stated, the CCP Android App will only work with a MRX1 or MRX2 in the system. The Total Control Android App will run on an MRX10 in a Total Control system.

An end user may receive a copy of CCP from their authorized dealer (dealer does not have to give it out, so it is always best to do your homework before the purchase if you wish to program yourself).

Total Control is a Dealer Only product and an End User will not have any access to the software. Hope that clears up any confusions.
