Hi all,

What set of CCP serial codes are you guys using for the 4520CI? All that is in there for this model is the Network codes. Is everyone using the X4000 for main, zone2, zone3?

Thanks.

Thanks KrazyK. I did already have that document but I was hoping for a head start which you gave me with the 3313. Do you own this receiver? I've run into some oddities which I never experienced with my Onkyo 885 or the Marantz AV7005 which this replaces.

I have a MSC-400 which I think you do as well. My theater has both a TV and a projector. During the power on sequence for TV DVR activity I have to set the Monitor1 out (code did not change from AV7005) but for some reason either due to the sequence order or not a long enough delay I get no sound. The receiver shows everything correctly on the OSD but no sound until I power off the unit and turn it back on (either manually or with the Denon remote).

So my question to you would be what order to you power up your gear and what are your delay values between each and at what point do you add the monitor 1 output code? I have used the same macro sequence with all the others and never ran into this issue before. Thanks in advance.

I have everything working perfectly now. Adding longer delay's fixed all the issues.

Didn't realize you needed more help!
It sounds like you got everything working fine!

I currently use my main zone in my theater and do not use the monitor 1 out for my macros. I simple use the corresponding output command after my projector and sources are on with a 0.5 sec delay.

If (msc-400 [home theatre]sensor (#1), off)
Panasonic (msc-400 [home theater] ,power on)
Delay (12 sec)
Else
Rogers PVR (msc-400 [home theatre], 5
Rogers PVR (msc-400 [home theatre], exit
Panasonic (msc-400 [home theater] , Cinema 1
Delay (0.5 sec)
Denon 4520CI (msc-400 [home theatre], sat/cbl)

Zone 4 uses a TV in my theatre and the same sources. I also turn on my TV first.

Sony TV (msc-400 [home theatre], power on
Rogers PVR (msc-400 [home theatre], 5
Rogers PVR (msc-400 [home theatre], exit
Sony TV (msc-400 [home theatre], HDMI 1
Delay (0.5 sec)
Denon 4520CI (msc-400 [home theatre] Z4 Rogers

Hope this helps!
I found the monitor needs to be on before the selecting the 4520CI's input command. Some sources can be turned on after the 4520CI's input command without the 0.5 sec delay!
My Denon has been rock solid both with performance and functionality!

I too have been using the 3313CI commands (both IP and RS232). I am having problems finding an IP command for the 'media player' input on the 4520. Anyone have one working?

Also, if someone has a full (or functional) RS-232, working device file for the 4520, I'd love a copy.

Thanks,
TWells
