Question:

Can the MRX-2 when paired with a MX-780 or MX-890 remote control sources with IP control codes? The MX-890 lists WIFI in its specs, but I'm hoping either can do it by communicating to the MRX-2 via RF (MRF-350) and then the source control command goes out via the MRX-2, just as IR and RS232 commands do.

Only need one-way control (2-way would be a bonus).

Thanks for any info!

The only CCP remotes that can do IP control are the mx5000, mx6000, kp4000, and the iOS app.

The mx890 does not have WiFi, not sure where you read that.

The mx780 and mx890 will only control IR devices with the mrx2. You need to add an rfx250 antenna to make that work. The rs232, relay, and voltage sensors on the mrx2 can only be accessed by the network remotes mentioned in my first sentence.

Bummer. So in that control form factor, the only option would be a Total Control based MRX-10/TC-1080 based solution, then?

FYI, I saw the MX-780 WiFi functionality from the specification page here:

That is correct, total control is the only way to go to do what you want to do with URC.

Looks like you found a mistake in their literature regarding the WiFi.
