I think the reason you don't hear much about it on remote central, is that it is not a DIY product.  There are plenty of discussions over at the URC Control Room forum.

Technically, neither is Complete Control. It just happens to be attainable.

Thanks for the suggestion to check out the Control Room. I may post a new thread in the CI area, to get some feedback outside URC territory.

Total Control is a fantastic system especially with the inclusion of the Extra Vegetables drivers. Many of the products work very well as long as bandwidth is not an issue. In the beginning there was some slow response out of some of the streaming capabilities, but that has improved. I would highly recommend to any URC dealer looking to step up. While there are some limitations as with any control system URC is doing a great job of understanding how to prioritize the needs of the custom install market driven by client requests.

i thought the MX-iOS ipad app only supported 1 way.

Correct. The iPad app is one way only. The 2way features if the mrx-2 are for total control.

Interesting. Well maybe someday I'll use Total Control, so I'm glad I have the MRX-2's anyway. But for now, I'll stick to CCP so I can program myself.

Interesting. Even though there is no difference in policy between Total Control and CCP in terms of software dissemination the poster explains that he will "stick with CCP so he can program" himself. I wonder if it is because URC has done a better job in policing the TC line or a bad job with the CCP line? Maybe the price point or complexity of the system? Resources available? I am sure if URC licensed the CCP software it would end the issue but this very post is a great reason in itself for dealers to consider Total Control.

I buy my URC gear from a dealer that chooses to share the CCP software with any of their customers that are willing to learn it. Perhaps if they are willing to share the Total Control software, I'll learn that too and convert over to that system some day. If not, I will not, I promise you that. As a software engineer myself, I am confident that I'll be happy with my own results more than I would be from any installer. Dealers and integrators have a great market to go after, it's just not me. And that's fine...there's room for more than 1 type of 'customer'...best to you sir.

You're not serious right? Let me say it again for you...I didn't "take" anything from anyone...I was given the CCP software by my URC dealer who chooses to exercise his right to give out the software to his customers that are willing to do the work themselves after purchasing. If you have a problem with the existing model or other dealers that don't share your views on the matter, I suggest you go and waste their time. Or maybe you should direct your 'holier than thou' attitude towards the thousands of users who actually steal the software on file sharing sites and have never bought a single URC product from any dealer and never would. Or are you just mad that my thousands of dollars of URC purchases were made through dealers that get it and not through you?

By the way, isn't Remote Central a forum for solving problems and sharing knowledge about various remotes? Or is it just a classified section for one to hire the chosen few like you? If it's just the latter, then I was grossly mistaken, and I also wouldn't have shared my hard work in the past contributing to the device database to try and help others out. I hold out hope it's more than that though.

You can still do GET Commands with the Applications - they just do not offer the fully interactive two-way environment.
