Have anyone have this issue? I have a residence we are installing 3 systems using 3 MX880 and 3 MF350. When plugging in the MF350... on the RFX250 the status lights goes solid immediately. We moved the antenna changed channels and even plugged at different locations of house with same issue. We then started turning off other electronic devices (Wifi, router etc) in the house to see if it would clear. Thought I had a bad unit pulled out another unit same issue. Then I took the unit off site thinking I could of gotten a bad batch and the unit was fine. Once bringing it in house issue comes back? Now I am looking into using the Zigbee unit

Are you using the provided cables to connect the rfx250 or a cat5 between the MRF and RFX? If the provided cables, make sure the 3/8 plug is pushed in all the way. You would have to have some serious rf interference to have the light come on solid right away. Is the base set to ID 0 by chance?

As goldenzrule mentioned, not plugging the antenna in all the way can cause the status light to stay on. The other cause is RF interference. As an alternative, you can use the "i" version of the remote and MRF (MX-880i & MRF-350i, in your case), since it operates at a different frequency. I recommend trying the "i" version before trying a totally different solution. At least all of your programming time will not have gone to waste - if it works.

If using cat5 for the antenna, miswiring the connectors will cause this issue as well.

Not only that, but the molex plug can be plugged in backwards. I didn't think this was possible until a few weeks ago when I went to troubleshoot an issue. We had two RFX250's connected to a mrf350 to cover a difficult house. Apparently the contractor removed an old furnace and duct work. They removed the RFX250 in the crawl while removing the ducts. They plugged the molex plug in backwards. Lit up but knocked out all RF between both antennas.
