I know they are similar, but are they similar enough to import a MX900 file into a MXW920?

Or do we have to create the MXW920 file from scratch?

I'll try to get in front of CCP later tonight to find out. Unless someone can chime in before I can get to my laptop.

you can import a device from a 900 file, not the full program itself. you would have to rebuild all the macros.

You can import a "device" into any remote config, my question is, if you can import an entire MX900 remote config into a an MXW-920.

And the answer is...Yes you can!

I just got in front of CCP and it was an option when under "configure home" area, adding a new remote (MXW920) and select the "copy from"..the drop down dialog shows the MX900 (since it is already in the configuration).

Cool. I'll need to check to make sure all the base station assignments are accurate (I have 3 MSC400 in this system) but so far all looks good!

Impetus to this: The customer had a MX900 operating his outside pool system for several years. Teenage son left it out and it got severally rained on and quit working. I pitched the 920 and he decided it would be prudent.

The official answer is yes, it is fully supported save for the color buttons on the MXW-920 which you would have to add for each device manually.

This is also possible with the MX-iOS > Android (and vice versa). So you will be able to "Clone" an iPhone to an Android Phone program and not program twice.

You should see this trend continue moving forward in little ways here or there with the Complete Control line similar (but not quite the same) as has happened with the Total Control products.

Not only does it not bring any color (or rec) functions (understandable since the MX900 doesn't have them, those buttons are locked out. You can't add functions to the color or rec buttons.

It's a bug.

When you click on those buttons, they do not "highlight" and the macro window doesn't become active. Neither can you drag a command onto those buttons from the IR Navigator.

If you add a blank 920 from scratch, those buttons are active. Only when copying from an existing 900 in the same CCP does this bug crop up.

Brady...would you please inform tech support?

CCP is current and I tried on my own home system and the customers. Same results.
