I am thinking about using this in a house that has about 17 zones of whole-house audio, security, HVAC control, home theater, lighting control, etc. I haven't chosen the WHA audio system yet but either way I will also include URC's SNP-1. The customer is looking for mostly audio streaming like Pandora so the integration with the SNP-1 has to be positive in order for me to consider doing this.

Any feedback about reliability, ergonomics, programming and customer satisfaction, etc. would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

if you are going with the SNP-1, and 17 zones, you would be better off going with URC Total Control.   The Total Control equivalent of the KP4000, is the TRC2000.

This way you will get 2 way feedback on every touchpanel and it will keep everything in sync.  It will also take hours to program, instead of days.

You should also take a look at TKP7000. Bigger screen and a lot faster especially with SNP1.

Thanks guys. What's involved in becoming a Total Control dealer? I haven't considered it but will look into it now.
