My MX500 on a few occasions locked up until I removed the batteries. Each time I replaced the batteries the remote booted up properly with all systems reading "Good". Even with the "Good" confirmation, the remote was still locked up or did not function properly.

Also, without provocation the remote has transmitted keystrokes on its own.

Has anyone run into this or know what is causing these glitches?

Don't know, but if you press the M1, M2 and M3 buttons sequentially the remote will lock up too. Always has.

Interesting, I will check those three buttons and make sure nothing is making them stick.
