Iam not able to get the macro to work correctly. The plasma is not turning off all of the time after adding the Yamaha rx-a830. I have put a delay between the tv and receiver but it does not seen to stay in the remote,It worked fine with my much old Yamaha receiver. What steps might I take to make this work better or more reliable. I am also using an rf-250 for rf.

I am guessing you are connected voa HDMI. Try unplugging the HDMI cable and run your macro. If it shuts off ok it is probably cec. Go into the Yamaha menu and look for cec or what ever they call it. Then look in the Panasonic menu for the same. Shut off all 2 way control and all should be good with the world.

Expanding on the above post...in Panasonics world CEC is known as Viera Link and in Yamaha it's called HDMI Control.

Did you start using HDMI when you got the RX-A830? If so, where did you get your HDMI cables. Cheap cables have been known to emit some RF interference, an the MRF250 is very prone to interference. If your cables run close to the base station or emitters, it could be the issue.

all right I will try some new cables, the thing is everything turns on fine with the power macro on button,it just doesn't always turn off with the off macro, and the delays in the mx-850 don't seem to repeat ,only one time after downloading to the remote, after that the delays quit working,I have it set up to turn tv off first ,then delay, then Yamaha off,but it only does the delay once.

Back again,it seems like the remote is sending 2 signals to the tv from the power off macro.the tv turns off then back on, but it does not show in the macro on the mx editor, any ideas what could be causing this?
