MX-890 Activity had punch through to "Tivo" for "Channel", "Navigation", "Play,Stop" and "Numbers"

Now I wanted to have a press and hold option for "Red", "Green", "Yellow" & "Blue" buttons.

The press and hold did not work and I assumed it is a conflict of "Punch Through" so I removed the PT for "Play,Stop" and "Numbers". Now I see the PT option removed for the activity.

But the color buttons still did not work. They worked ONLY when I removed the PT for all the "Channel", "Navigation", "Play,Stop" and "Numbers"

This is causing me to manually put alias for all the buttons and not take advantage of PT. Any suggestions?

Is URC thinking of having an option of PT specifically for color buttons? It would help.

Well in CCP the color buttons are part of the "Play,Stop.." PT group as indicated by the Simulator. Once removing all the PT groups and getting the P&H for the color buttons working again did you try just adding one PT group at a time with the exception of "Play,Stop.." PT group to see at what point it breaks? I didn't find your post exactly clear on whether this had been done.

"Play/Stop" PT group not working at all on MX-1200. Looks fine in the simulator. "Volume" PT works. Can I not have both on a device?

What device are you punching the codes for? Have you confirmed that the codes are on the correct buttons within the device you are punching from?

Trying to punch Play/Stop group from the BDP to the AVR and other device pages.
It looks OK in CCP (v2.7.0607.1) but when I press the button it doesn't transmit anything at all.
No problem punching Volume and Channel groups to any of the device pages.

Are you using a base station in this system? Do you have your IR routing and/or RF/IR selected correctly for the devices in question?

No base station, just the remote, and no RF at all. When I say it doesn't transmit, there is no IR indicator in the top left of the screen when I press the Play/Stop PT buttons. If I go directly to the device the PT is coming from the actual Play/Stop buttons work, as expected.

Volume PT and Channel PT are working no problem. I tried clearing out ALL the PT (reset to None) from the layout and starting over, but Play/Stop PT still doesn't work.

There was another thread started a while ago that claimed a CCP update broke PT. I don't know if this was ever fixed or if I have the bad version. Live update says there are no more updates.

The symptoms seem like conflict between PT and other programmed codes. Is there another button besides the transport controls (play, stop, rew, fwd, skip, pause, rec) that are considered part of the Play/Stop group? I made sure these are all clear before adding PT to the layout.

Thanks

It's a little bit more work, but you can just alias the buttons to make them work. Not sure what the issue is with the punch through, but at least your desired use would be achieved.

Hey Stefan,
I'll be sure the URC Engineers see this - but I believe it is a known issue.

hope urc fixes this soon. i see that color buttons are not working if navigation is used as PT. If i remove navigation as PT and assign them as "Alias" it works. definately a PT bug.

I am disappointed they don't seem to care. This thread is 4 months old!

There were a couple of software updates recently. Not sure if this is fixed.
