I have a MX 900 and i seem to be replacing the batteries every three - four weeks. The LCD always stays on (Not the back light). Is there a fix for this or a solution?

Press listen (or Watch?) while also pressing the enter button. Then you can turn the lcd brightness down. This will extend the life a little. You can also adjust how long the light stays on as well.

The batteries on my 900 last a good two months or more. Obviously, this depends on just how much you use it, channel surfing, etc.

The LCD uses very little power. The back light uses significantly more, so as vw said, having it stay on for 10 or 20 seconds will help a lot.

I leave the "stay on" time of the back light to about 20 seconds, but I also tend to turn physically turn it off when I'm done using it.

You can also put the remote in "Sleep Mode" where the remotes LCD goes blank after a specified amount of time. Press "Watch and Enter" at the same time. Select "LCD", on the next screen press the button next to "On" which will set it to off and give you an option to adjust a set amount of time of inactivity before the LCD goes blank. The LCD will remain blank until any button is pressed on the remote.
