I have the News feed, Weather and iTunes Music 2-way apps set up on my MX-5000. All work as expected except the News. When I click on the news I get the Topic List. The problem occurs when I select a topic, any topic. A message displays stating "Connection to the Internet Unavailable". This will remain until I push the MAIN key to exit. I have verified that the settings are the same as the Weather. I assume that the internet connection is working since I do get the weather. Anyone know what I am doing wrong?

 i learned long ago not to rely an an MX5000 for news or weather.  even when it works, it is nothing but a few Headlines and a few lines of text for each item.

the problem is most likely with the RSS feed that URC uses for the news and there is most likely nothing you can do about it.  

Ditto. For a period of time I couldn't get the weather to work when the stocks worked. Don't trust it or promise it will always work.

when i first started programming the mx5000/6000 i would throw in all the RSS feeds thinking, "wow, this is cool!"

then I found out the customers would never use the feature cuz they have something called a Smart Phone that does a far better job at all of that.
