Hey Friends , I have a home theater setup already , but now i want to add a fan and light control as part of my macros. Now if i am correct Lutron is the only on that provides an IR switch fan and light control . Now here are some question
Since the fan is off to the right of an "L" shaped room and the switch is at the end of the room, how would i be able to control the fan with out pointing the remote at it. I hope that made sense

use the URC light switches and dimmers. they are controlled via RF. No pointing required.

I had the same problem. The way I dealt with it is to use an MRF-350 that I was not using. I set the RF control of my MX-980 to point to the MRF-350 and aimed the blaster on the MRF-350 at the switches. In my case the MRF-350 alone was sufficient because the fan and light switches were near each other. I hope this points you to a solution.
