No, the back up is not the problem. I use Parallels for Mac and have all the files, custom buttons, and templates. What I lost was the CPP.

Man, I do not understand how there are any companies still in business. If we tally up the amount of businesses that sold equipment and then went out of business as mentioned in threads in just this section of this one website, I think the number will be astronomical. Seriously, thats a lot of closed shops.

And if they do purchase some remote without first doing the research, at least be honest! The out of business line is lame!

Take the hard drive out of your old laptop and get the software! Done......
