I have a dlna music server and a dlna renderer. Currently use an ipad to control it using one of many dlna control point apps. Also use a mx1200. Wondering if mx5000 2way supports dlna so I can use it instead.

My music will give you two way meta-data on a MX-5000 remote.( i.e. album art , band, song title etc.) I've used both the MX-5000 and MX-1200 and prefer the feel and look of the 1200.

I had an early version MX-5000; so I can't say how they operate now, but mine was prone to losing Wi-Fi connections. It wasn't the most stable remote I've used from URC and only lasted 2yrs before dying on me. I personally wouldn't purchase another!

On MX1200? How does it work? MX1200 doesn't have wifi and I don't see the 2-2way modules on ccp for mx1200. The '2way' catagory is not listed for MX1200.

Reread my post!
I never said the MX1200 does 2-way! I said I preferred it over the MX-5000.
