Some background: I am using CCP v2.5.0325.2 running Windows XP via VM. I have 3 MX980s that have been programmed and communicate via this program.
The problem is that my MX880 is bricked. The display says:
"Unable to find system files. Please download using PC Software." When connected to the PC and attempting to download a file, "Compatability Check" progress bar shows 40% but does not move until it errors out.
What can I do to resurrect this remote.

This just happened to my 880 as well. The remote had been rock solid for years, but it recently started spontaneously locking up, forcing me to remove the battery and then reinsert it. This kept happening with greater frequency, until this morning it finally appears to be down for the count. I thought it might be the battery, so I bought a new one. It didn't help. Just like the above poster, I cannot load a new file to the remote. Does anyone have any suggestion?

I called URC, and they determined that the remote was dead. I boxed it up and sent it back to them. They are sending me a replacement for $250.
