Just ordered the remote from Surf and have been programming with CCP in advance. I must say I do like CCP (used the previous URC software for MX-810, MX-700 etc).

So far finished up the devices and macros but had one question, not sure if I am missing something very simple. On the Main page where I list the various devices, how do I rearrange the buttons ie. Have Blu-Ray top right button but want it to be say bottom right. For some reason I could not figure it out (besides just starting those buttons again).

Thanks!

Right click, cut. Select no to the question of whether or not you want to delete the device. Paste onto the button you wish to move it to.

Thanks! Also just found out you can drag and drop when viewing in the functions view.

Yeah, I never use the functions screen. I rarely use the pages view screen. You can also drag and drop on the pages view screen though and it is a lot easier than the functions screen (I feel) as the layout of the remote is still the same and easier to follow.

Function view is great for creating macros as you just click on the commands in the list instead of flipping screens around in the simulator.

I don't know why, so can't really explain why, but I just never liked the feel of the functions view. I know it has many benefits, I just never liked the feel of it.

One thing that caught me the first time I used CCP on a 780. If you alias one button to another, you cannot move the original button. The link stays with the position, not with the button name. This is different than some of the older editors. So either put the original commands some place they will never be moved or link to the database commands, not to other buttons. I got caught because I put a command on a lower down page because the user said he would never use it, then changed his mind, so I moved it to page one. Unfortunately, that broke the link I had from another device. Just something to watch out for.
