I'm hoping to replace a bedroom MX-600 with an MX-780, and would like to be able to track the power state of my TOAD TV so it stays on when switching activities.  I started to program how it would work in CCP (no remote yet) and am stumped because I can add variables, but am not sure how to make use of them without an if/then. As background, I have a pair of MX-980s, so I'm familiar with CCP, variables, and if/then/else on those (although maybe I'm missing something there too).

I found this, so it seems like it can be done, but it still wasn't clear to me how:

Thanks!

RTFM. Only kidding. The whole macro is a variable. Look at the bottom of the macro and decide whether you want normal, variable or push and hold. You can alias macros and embed them within other macros.

ah ha! I was totally ignoring that area. Great aliasing and embedding tip too.

Totally clear now, thanks!
