This is new. It always updated before without incident. When attempting live update, the following message appears:
Fail to download the patch info file
My MX-900 editor software live updated without any problems yesterday.
I tried uninstalling and re-installing the MSC400 editor software, turning off Windows firewall, running the program as an administrator, nothing worked. I am using Windows XP.
Has anyone else seen this, I did a search where some blamed URC's server in the past.

Use CCP instead. It's supported by URC.

Try hooking up the msc-400 to the pc with the programming cable and then do a live update.

I do have an older version of CCP, but it also won't do a live update, and I can't program my MX-890. When I click on the Live Update icon it says its updating, and that CCP will restart, but nothing happens. I never had trouble programming my MX-850s with the stand-alone program, and the updates always appeared to work fine. Am I missing something?

try running the software as Administrator, also try disabling your firewall.

Try a different browser, it worked for me.

Can't explain it. I have a Windows 8 laptop running Firefox and would get the patch error message. Tried both IE and Chrome and problem solved.

I'm talking about live update. Don't you have to connect to the internet to do that?

yes, but it doesn't use a web browser. OK Mr. Tape, I stand corrected. I switched back to Firefox as default browser and update worked. I still can't figure out why it suddenly started working after making IE the default browser. I had previously tried all the other fixes suggested from URC Control Room and RC to no avail. Thanks for pointing out that the browser theory does not help.
