I am trying to free up an rs232 port on an msc400 in CCP and am having a hard time trying to change from one port to another. Every time I try to change ports in the routing window, I seem to lose all 'functions' of that device in the properties window. What is the best window to use to make this change. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

did you go to the port and enable/disable the RS232 operation?  Click on the port on the graphic of the MSC400, then look in the property window.  There will be a check box to enable it, and from there you can set up the baud rate info.

Thanks. That may just be the answer.
