I'm having a problem with a ZVox 220. The client uses this sound bar for TV, HTPC & DVD audio. The issue I've run into is the volume up/down not repeating when held down. CCP does not have any codes in the database for these sound bars so I decided to learn the factory IR commands. Every other function is working correctly on the mx-780.

What I've tried so far -
1) 2 pass learning
2) long presses on factory remote when learning (both 1 & 2 pass learning)
3) short presses on factory remote when learning (both 1 & 2 pass learning)
4) varying the angle of the factory remote when learning (both 1 & 2 pass learning)
5) adjusting the repeats in CCP (which yields no difference)
6) made sure the "repeat when pressed" for the learned IR codes was enabled (which yields no difference)
7) fresh, brand new batteries in the original remote

Interestingly, sometimes the learned IR yields 1 jump in volume or 2 jumps in volume. But it never allows for a single press to ramp the volume up or down. This has happened after learning or re-learning the IR commands from the original remote. No real rhyme or reason I can see as to why the learned IR codes would do this.

The original remote controls the volume perfectly. I do know the IR codes for the original remote conform to the Holtek standard. Though I'm not sure this has anything to do with the difficulty I'm having.

I did find an excel sheet with various hex values here on Remote Central but I'm unsure how to convert them as I've never had to do it (believe it or not)

Right now the 780 does control the volume but it does not ramp and requires multiple presses to get to the desired volume level. Any thoughts as to where I may have gone wrong or different avenues I can try?

You've checked the repeat when pressed for the learned IR codes?

doesn't the zvox also learn codes? i would just put a receiver volume command from the database in there and learn it on the zvox and call it a day.
