I was recently asked what the difference, other than the obvious, was between these two remotes, and after looking at the specs.,in the catalog, I could not give a satisfactory answer. Is the wifi portion of the MX 6000 that much better than the 5000? Any good sales pitch for the 6000 would be greatly appreciated.

By the lack of any reply, I see that this must be a rare question. I would specifically like to know if anyone has controlled any music servers other than an i-pod with the PSX unit. I would very much like to be able to get two way communication with an Olive music server.

Here is my sales pich for the MX6000.... Don't buy one, the MX5000 is a much better remote.
You might also take a look at URC's Total Control system, it's a much better wifi solution than either of those two remotes.
And to answer your question neither one of those remotes will be able to provide you with two way communciation with an olive music server.

Thanks Matt, that is exactly the kind of opinion that I like to hear. I would like to hear from anyone who has had experience with the Mx 6000, especially it's wifi function.
