Is it just me (due to the Asian model of the RX-V2700), or do others also have a few problems with the IR Codes in the URC database. For example:

Select Main Zone NET as input does nothing
Select Zone 2 Net as input and it changes for the Main Zone instead
Select Zone 3 Net as input and it changes the input for Zone 2 instead
Select the discrete "Chamber DSP", and nothing happens
Select the discrete for ProLogic II Music, and nothing happens (PLII Movie works fine)

Haven't worked through all of the codes, but have noticed these issues to date. Will try using MakeHex to try out the Yamaha codes, but not too sure how to deal with a Yamaha entry of 7F01 with data code of 3E (normally the custom code is 7A or 7E, not 7F01).

i used many codes from the 2600. some of the 2700 codes seemed bizzarre and not functioning. cant say i jacked with it long. only set up an 850 for a temp.

I would try that, but the 2600 doesn't have some of the required codes. I did try the RX-V1700 codes (very similar and listed on the Yamaha IR sheets together), but no luck there either.
I have tried to generate the HEX codes and program that way; but that fails too. I guess the Yamaha Codes I have are either wrong, or there is a difference between the codes for the receivers in different countries. Right now it seems to be the latter.

Well, after some digging it may be that the Yamaha documentation has some errors. An example of this is that they have given the same codes (7ED3 and 7ED4) for both different functions (Zone2 balance & Zone2 display). I guess there are more errors in the published doc that are causing my other issues. Figure URC's database has the same problem codes in it.
